CSR procurement
Economic responsibility requires sustainability-oriented value creation.
This means a balance among environmental, social and economic considerations.
The first products which EVN already examined years ago in terms of their ecological compatibility were:
- Office supplies
- Photocopying paper
- Anti-corrosive coatings for lattice towers
- Plastic pipes for gas transmission pipelines
In the more recent past, EVN has extended its assessment procedure for CSR procurement to:
- Advertising materials
- Working clothes
- Food
- IT equipment
At present, the specification list for builders and earthwork serving as the basis for contracting external services is being evaluated in respect to compliance with CSR standards.
