evn collection

Mission

  • The evn collection is a corporate art collection was founded in 1995. As part and parcel of EVN’s internal communications efforts, it provides a platform within the company serving as the basis for critically dealing with international contemporary fine arts. 
     
  • The evn collection primarily targets employees. Numerous projects and activities are also oriented to attract the art-interested public outside of the company.

  • The collection’s works of art and projects are in partnership with the surrounding architecture, and thus represent an integral component of a sustainable corporate art concept.

  • Within the context of its corporate social responsibility, the evn collection with its goal of enabling creative thinking space considers itself to be a spiritual/intellectual investment in the future.
     
  • International orientation, quality awareness and innovation link the corporate collection with the corporate mission statement.


General

  • The art works are administered by a team of experts consisting of Brigitte Huck, Georg Kargl, Paul Katzberger, Wolfgang Kos, Heike Maier-Rieper and Hans Ulrich Obrist.
  • The exhibition of art works at EVN’s headquarters in Maria Enzersdorf, 15 kilometres south of Vienna, enables a direct dialogue here and now with up-to-date and critical aspects of contemporary art.  
  • From an historical perspective, the collection concentrates on a relatively short period of time, namely works of art starting in the late 1980s until the present.  
  • They are characterized by medial diversity and the pretence of presenting current topics and issues.
