Why EVN?

Especially today it is more important than ever to have a professional partner, who you can rely on. A company, which is offering opportunities and perspectives for personal and professional development, especially in an international environment.

We are offering these conditions. As an international, publicly listed energy- and environmental services company we see ourselves as a multi-utility-company. EVN today is not only energy- and gas provider of Lower Austria but also new areas of business, like building freshwater and water treatment facilities, give us the opportunity to grow. This growth allows us to transcend borders. Today EVN is active in over 20 countries in Europe.

Below you'll find portraits of chosen employees talking about their motivation to succeed at EVN.

Rudolf Gutscher

Maintenance Manager EVN Power Plants

I am an engineer at heart and it gives me lots of joy to be actively involved in such important issues as energy supply.

Rudolf Gutscher, mechanical engineer and HTL graduate, started in September of 2002 as an assistant power plant maintenance engineer and has since been working in different areas within EVN, like maintenance tasks spanning multiple power plants and several other projects. Until 2008 Rudolf Gutscher also was a member of the working team “gas turbines” for VGB (association of companies of power plant operators and manufacturers) and responsible for setting up operation for a number of newly renovated or built plants, including setting up operation of the biomass experimental plant of the power plant Dürnrohr, reconditioning of the power plant Korneuburg or long-distance heating supply for St.Pölten. Since October 2009 as Maintenance Manger EVN Power Plants he has been responsible, together with his team of 148 employees, for availability and safe operation of all thermal EVN power plants. Extra-occupational Rudolf Gutscher was studying mechanical engineering and graduated in 2008. Currently he is on his way to a second university degree as he is studying industrial engineering to obtain and further enhance necessary business skills.
Education and personal development are possible alongside working full-time at EVN. The company is supporting and advocating employees, so each and everyone has the possibility to shape themselves and their surrounding accordingly.
