Renewables are focal point in power production
Especially dealing with energy production climate change cannot be ignored. Therefore EVN targets to raise the part of renewables up to 50% of the overall energy production by 2020.
To reach this target, EVN will invest highly in wind power plants in Lower Austria and Bulgaria as well as extending the effords in projects for hydro power plants in Albania and Bulgaria.
Concerning heat production EVN is the biggest natural heat provider in Austria by operating 55 biomass plants.
With all these effords EVN has always in mind to save resources, minimizing emissions and the efficient use of primary energy sources as well as security of supply for our customers.
